The Memorial Rose Garden

The Society has the responsibility of maintaining the Memorial Rose Garden for the San Mateo Garden Center, which is open for events and weddings. This garden has approximately seventy rose bushes of different varieties. Our members enjoy tending these roses and it can hone the skills of those who are eager to learn. The beauty of the Memorial Rose Garden is not only enjoyed by our members, but it is also open to the public (when the Garden Center is open).

Farragut Park Rose Garden

In 2024, the Society collaborated with Foster City’s William E. Walker Recreation Center to transfer some of its collection of roses to the nearby Farragut Park in preparation for the Center’s total renovation later that year.
